They are both clearly YS series carbs but do you have the triangular soft metal model/serial tags that came on them? What has become of these two carbs? Do you still have them?
Wes in the last set of pictures the one on the left with the keyhole looking cut out with the smaller circle is the port I'm asking about, it is the same as all 3 left pictures in that set.

well I lucked out. I found the photos I took when I was selling the carbs. Here are the tags on two carbs without that extra post casting, and two with the extra casting.

Definately fortunate to have found them. It would be awful nice to know what the letter codes represent on the 2nd line of the triangular brass tags. That is a very odd round tag on the last one. Must have been put there by a repair facility sometime in the carbs life. _________________ Wes K
