Thanks for the info on the wheel bearings, Wes; luckily did not have to use it... I found the problem... The lockwasher on the front wheel bearings was not bent over and so the lock nuts came loose a little bit...

I was having a problem of severe wobble/shake/shimmy in the front end... went to the Willys Reunion and had a gent point me in the direction of the wheel bearings... he grabbed the tire from the side and it moved in and out... wheel bearings were loose...

I took the driver's side apart and was able to pull the wheel bearing nuts off with my hands using a 2 1/4" socket... Very loose... I tightened up and locked the washer and all is well on that side... Will do the other side tomorrow as I need to pull the jeep out of the garage to get to the passenger side...

Steering components are solid and the current bearings are in good shape that I can see, no excessive wear...
