I thought I would introduce myself. I have been playing with MV's for years. I just got my first Willys 1953 M38A1 and am restoring it. It is perfect for restoration. I found a great one. It was a parade vehicle for Idaho's Civil Defense so it was extremely well maintained. After the civil defense it had one owner that did a great job with it as well. Everything is original minus a couple things that I put on. When I got it the fuel system was the only bummer because it had some ugly stuff in it. I am just finishing going through it right now. Should have it rolling this weekend.
I also started a website that is like Craigslist for military vehicles. You can post as many ads with pictures that you would like for free. If you any other MV stuff for sale or you want to get more exposure check it out. Its www.mvpal.com
I keep a journal of what I do with MV's online as well. I will be posting my M38A1 updates in the next week or so with pictures of progress. Check out my blog at www.mvpal.spaces.live.com.
OOPS, after I asked this question my wife walked in and I asked her. She had no clue either and then my 15 year old daughter walked in and I asked her. She pretended not to know and sent me to a website that explained it clearly. Now I know.
Gosh Wes, I never would have thought you had such a trashy mouth. And on your own website. I guess i'm the FNG when it comes to all this talk. I learn so much when I visit here.
Greetings MVPAL. I thought FNG was so funny I missed the point of your post. Went to your link and thought the pictures of Camp White were amazing. I've never been to an event with that amount of green wheels.
Once you get your M38A1 up and going you will know why it is considered the best of all jeeps.
