Miscellanious Parts

Post by Cacti_Ken »

How bout this, Order came into today. I open the box to discover wiper blades are 7inch not 9 inch. I specified 9 inch, on top of that, total weight of parts 14 ozs. plus the box about 2 ozs. Shipping by FedX $16.27.
I think they they like to piss us off.

Seems like alot of this 7", instead of 9" blades stuff going around - I just had to reorder blades for the same reason. I made sure to specify 9" to Rapco this time - it was a different vendor last time (well known).

When I get a choice I specify USPS, because they have flat rate shipping and usually gets to me in 3 days. Most of the parts dealers don't give a choice though. Maybe if we all start demanding a choice, they will offer?

USPS or No Order

Post by capescw »

Money is all! How about a simple statement during your next call:
"You do ship flat rate USPS, RIGHT!!!"
Maybe if we all start demanding a choice, they will offer?
Answer=NO
Purchase=NO

I'll do that too - it's rediculous having to pay $10-12 more to ship something

I'm willing to bet that if he got enough people using other dealers that he would make the effort! Besides, if he gets mail delivered to his business, they will pick up outgoing mail too.

laughing on the comment from rapco, what would he think if we/customer's thought it was to big pain in the arse to walk across the room and pick the phone up to call and make an order!. when will these vendors ever understand we are the ones that keeps them in business. i think it's about time they start.
