New Ford GT 40

Post by Ryan_Miller »

My friend back home (the Ford Dealer) just got in a new Ford GT. They cannot call it the GT 40 due to Ford sold the rights to the name years ago.

I got to take a short ride and it was amazing!

Here are a few pictures. Midnight blue with White stripes.

These cars are truly a piece of art! 8)

Is this vehicle similar to the "Corvette"?
It looks Hot!!

From the looks of the last photo you must live in the wide open plains.

Ken,

Not to knock any GM fans, but this is way beyond the Corvette.

Speedometer goes up to 250 MPH. My friend had it at only 2200 RPM at 100 MPH.

This is more in line with the Ferrari, Bentley, etc.

They used the original GT 40 for Lemans and took 1,2,3 in 1966 and placed in the top 1, 2, or 3 several years before and after.

Ford is making around 1000 of these a year for the next 3 years from what I have read.
