I am sorting through a jeep I got very recently. It is a 1948 CJ2A with M38 sheetmetal. I was just going to bolt it all together and enjoy it, as the chassis has had a complete frame up nut and bolt rebuild of everything. When I bought its the body was in pieces in a pile over in the corner of the building and while I was told it was an M38 I didn't give it much attention. Now that I have mated the two together, I think I really want to build up a chassis for the M38 and make it original again. So instead of it being registered as a 1948 CJ2A I would like to register is as a '50 or'51 Jeep. Then I guess I will have to find a body for the 2A...
It came with a CJ2A grille, hood and windshield. I have remedied the grille and windshield already.[/img]
