WTB M38 firewall wiring plate LOCATED

Post by mdainsd »

Im looking for the square plate that mounts to the firewall on the drivers side that has TWO slots for wiring harnesses and their grommets.

Hope someone has one in their spares pile.

Thank you,

Mark

Ahhh.

The early plate.

You know, unless you are building a concourse vehicle
you could make one...

Maybe some kind individual could get you measurements...

Take care,

I have the original one. Just some Guber cut a third hole in it go figure.

Was hoping someone might even have an NOS one rat-holed away. One can always hope, right? 8)

Mark,
That's a perfect opportunity to hone your
mig welding skills!

You'll need them eventually.

Just grab some 18 gauge sheet metal, make that hole
nice and clean, use it to make your patch, and tack
that puppy in.

Best part?

You are installing the original part!

I hear ya. I don't have a mig welder, maybe i should look into a 120V one? That should surely do sheet metal patches. I have a little TIG welder but I have never used it.

And putting the original back has a certain satisfaction to it, doesn't it?

You got it!

Tig should work on 18 gauge!
