WTB: M38a1 top bows

Post by wilfreeman »

Looking for a set of top bows for my M38a1. If you can help, please let me know what condition, and delivered price to 29729. You can email me directly at wilfreeman@truvista.net instead of messaging on here.
If at all possible, please include pics.

Thanks, Matt

Matt,
Keep in mind the M38 bows will work on the A1 as well.

Indeed, they share the same part numbers:
7372889,
WO-673803

With the A1 having an additional:
2510-737-2889.

Yessir - thanks Brian.
I see Ron Fitzpatrick is offering US made repros for $200 SHIPPED, but says out of stock. I'll call Monday, but hopefully somebody on the forums will have a cheaper USED set.

I got impatient with the search and bought a set from RFJP about a year ago on the same deal $200 shipped. Not NOS or take-off's, not sure who makes them, but they're very nice. They came in red primer shrink wrapped in bubble (no box) and somehow made it coast-to-coast without anybody mangling them.

Might check with Jason Green in Atlanta, or Matt Fox.

Maybe a road trip and pick up some other items too costly to ship?

John,
Any idea how much to ship?

You could cut them in half at the top and weld
back together with 3/4" inside for strength.

Calvin Ismael in LA had at one time the NOS bows etc for the tops. Mullins bought a lot of his stuff so he might have some also.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll do some calling around tomorrow to see about my options. I can't remember where, but somebody had shipping down at $80! I know this is an odd shaped item, but it's not heavy and doesn't take up a lot of room in the delivery truck. I imagine if it was taken to a UPS warehouse, it wouldn't cost anywhere near that much to ship. RFJP just sounded like a better deal after seeing that $80 shipping. If it weren't the ATLANTA area! I visited Matt (QTM Parts) on the way to Tennessee last year - never seen traffic like that before, and prob never will again! Nice visit with him, but I won't go that way again!
