Alternative method for hood number retrieval

Hi, I tried on 1 side of the hood with:
1. sanding...not successful because it had more than 5 -6 layers of paint.
2. window scraper and paint remover.. managed to salvage 2 digits only.
3. window scraper and brake fluid... nothing.

Finally, really disappointed, I tried the other side with a gas torch and window scrapper.... it was amazing... it took me 10 minutes for a complete hood number recovery...
