WTB: USMC M100 Responsible Agency plate

Post by wilfreeman »

I am looking to buy a USMC Responsible Agency plate (aluminum). I would prefer an original one to match my other plates, but will buy an NOS one if I can't locate an original.

Hi Matt,
My Army M100 made by Dunbar Kapple, delivery date 5-51 (serial number 01169903) has all three original data plates made of brass.

Thanks Ron - I didn't even think about looking at your album, DUH! I put out WTB threads on the forums - we'll see where that goes. I'll go back and change those to brass. Hopefully something will come from those because I don't want to use a repro plate - it won't look right.

I finally made the call and decided to make the USMC trailer (that I am finishing up now) a '54 model using the plates that came off of the Army trailer (not original serial # plate). I will use the original '51 plates on the Army trailer to go with my other 'a1.

I am not sure whether I will do the '54 M100 or the M762 next.
