Top Rod Question
I have everything in properly for my top,(from researching everything) but, the rods keep popping out. They are the angle in one hole type. She is a 52 M38.
I know i am overlooking something.

If you are talking about the rods that go from the windshield to the top bow supports, drill a small hole on the inside of the rod to put a cotter pin after the rod is put through the windshield frame or bow support.
Stick the rod in, mark the other side, and drill it. The cotter pin will hold it in.

On the M-38 the top rails are supposed to have holes and pins riveted to them to hold the top rails into the Windshield frame and Top Bow...

SNL dated 1955 is where I got my part numbers from, possibly a change to keep the tops on better...
I have drilled mine and put drive rivets in them to hold the chains on and have no problems with rod coming out. Was a good mod IMO...
