Willys M38 - Cable generator to regulator

Dear All,

I have been looking for a Willys M38 - Cable generator to regulator and I was surprised when looking in my 1955 ORD 9 SNL G-740 I found the P/No. 7539500, while on page 79 of the book M38 Reference Guide i found P/No. 7762732.

So I am wondering to which ORD 9 SNL G-740 the diagram on page 79 of the book M38 Reference Guide is referring to?

Unfortunately that illustration # RA PD 358113 is from ORD 9 SNL G-740 dated Nov 1951. In the 51 ORD 9 you will find that cable 7762732 on page 118 listed as "Cable, Generator to Generator Regulator".

The 55 ORD 9 uses Illustration #RA PD 367993 and shows X as Harness 7539500. Which is listed on page 175 as "Harness, Wiring, Generator to Generator Regulator".

You can see in Ryan's book on page 94 that he made a typo on the correct part #, he entered 739500 omitting the 5 and he reference Fig 06-11 on page 109 in the 55 ORD 9 but used the earlier ORD9's illustration
