Need help identifying a part...
When we pulled my motor and along with it the clutch. There was a small spring left attached where we removed it from. We know we need to replace it but not sure what it is called. Any help?

Yes, among other things, it's usually a good idea to replace the pilot bushing in the flywheel, along with the new clutch and throw-out bearing.
And yes, anything else inspected carefully that looks worn, unless you like pulling motors....the clutch pivot fork and ball come to mind.....as do the items in the linkage back to the pedal that tend to get wallowed out, like clevis holes and pedal bushings.......

As already suggested, a picture is worth a thousand words! But almost as valuable as the photos are telling us which model jeep you are working on!When we pulled my motor and along with it the clutch. RonD has tried to determine what spring you are referring to without a photo which means he has tried to help you with a guess on what you are trying to describe.
Two very important circumstances under which we should not use guesswork are when we are expending hard manual labor or hard earned money.
You can help improve our accuracy in our replies if you either post photos or use extreme care in your statements and use great detail in your statements. Particularly in your first sentence:
The engine can be removed with the clutch still attached three ways.When we pulled my motor and along with it the clutch.
1 - By separating the engine from the bell housing which leaves the clutch levers and depressing devices inside the bell housing.
2 - By separating the bell housing from the transmission which requires disconnecting clutch linkage at the cross shaft.
3 - By separating the engine/bell housing/tranny/transfer from the chassis as a powerplant assembly.
So please enlighten us on which removal process you employed. And then provide the needed photos or go to our downloads page and download the The three primary maintenance and one primary parts manuals for free and use their illustrations to ID your parts. I haven't listed the manual ID numbers because you haven't bothered to tell us what model jeep we are discussing!
