its not happening
Hi Tom,
I ended up backing out of the project because of time on the other end and the tub had to move quickly. Hopefully summer season will bring that M170 back east.
My M38 came from Seattle. It took a bit of searching to get it here but it got done.

tub
Tom,
I didnt get the tub. The seller sold it to someone else because he needed to move it quickly and I didnt have the time or $ to get it.
Ron Fitzpatrick in Oregon - on the G - did offer to help and he has some transportation connections. You may want to contact him.

M38A1 Project for sale in southwest Wisconsin
did you check out the M38a1 for sale listed by wes?
M38A1 Project for sale in southwest Wisconsin
I have an M38A1 that is missing lots of parts. It's basically a body and chassis with front seats. Original engine had a cracked block but I have all the rest of the parts and I have a complete CJ5 F-head engine that goes with it. Body is pretty good but is full of drill holes and has the normal passenger side floorboard rust but is otherwise very straight. Didn't have any snowplows on it either. I also have a Leece Neville 24v/100amp charging system that goes with it and a large bunch of other stuff to go, too much to list. In fact, I don't know what all I have till I dig into boxes and make a pile for anyone who comes that day for the jeep. I'd like $800/OBO for the whole thing. Jeep has a clear title in my name and in fact carries a valid Wisconsin collector plate on it. I want to insert photos but don't know how.
she looks pretty good and solid....
