Has anyone looked at that photo posted by Steve of the 38a-1 being loaded into the side door of a C47? Holy smokes....what were those guys smoking? That has got to come under the category of "do not try this at home". Could they have possibly made the ramps any narrower....or maybe a little steeper? And what the hey.....does the drum of fuel go on next? I bet the unloading was a whole lot more interesting trying to stay on those ramps while going backwards!! Perhaps this explains how some of these old jeeps got into such bad shape!!!

Hey,

I thought it looked like a real job also. The must have had to move the back end of the jeep once the rear wheels were in. That is a tight corner.
