15 M37's for sale at GSA auction in eastern Wyoming

Post by jbjeeps »

Here's your chance to buy that M37 you've always wanted.

2 M38A1's there too.

Anybody actually been there and seen these vehicles?

This sale was posted on the M37 Registry Board earlier this week.

Edit: I just checked the link on this post and I see it takes me to the main auction page, so, scroll down the left side, select "location", then select "wyoming" and it should take you to the auction for the vehicles.

 Tattle Tail! I wanted all of them! I've been there 3 times. The pictures they posted don't show how rough they really are. Beat up Fire trucks! Some run good, but all have body problems and Bubba was there!!!! You definately will get a project. They have been sitting there for 2 full years in the elements. The jeeps are about the roughest pair of A1's I've ever seen. One frankly is not worth the trouble. They cut lots of holes and notched things, tailgates took it in the shorts on most. Those nice M&S tires are dry rotted and cracked. I still want to line all of them up in my yard so I can see them at all times!  Believe it or not, there " were " 5 M38's there. They all got put back into the Gov't. system  I wanted the green (OD) one with the original hood #'s still showing but alass, my love is gone. They all had WO carbs and alternators installed. Home made or CJ gas tanks, only one seat, no military brackets etc. I must admit, the sources are drying up as we speak, so good luck with the hunt. Long live Green Disease! John

Now that's funny!

When I posted the info on the sale I figured someone would say, "hey why'd you tell!?

And, when I asked if anyone had been there and seen them, I knew that you'd be the one to reply! I actually considered just sending you a PM first because I knew you'd have already seen them!

Ever since that M37 went with us on the Silver City trip last month I've become more and more interested in them.

I could see one at our place, but all of them? You're a sick man! :)

I'm not bidding though, so go for it!

I already have two, '51 and '53. I think I have wyomingwillys converted , influenced, hoodwinked into getting one. I'll leave them for you guys and share. They are just a bigger Jeep. If you buy one and need help, let me know. I'm full of moral support  John

Since I have started driving my M37 (two years now) it definately has it's own niche in the off road touring arena. Very comfortable compared to the jeeps.
