For those of you who have not yet heard, our hobby has suffered a very dear loss. Kevin Kronlund, a current MVPA board member was killed in a Farm accident Tuesday on his cranberry bog in Spooner Wisconsin. He owned and operated one of the largest single collection of WWII vehicles (both wheeled and tracked and amphibious) in the central US. He hosted our Red Arrow MVPA club and the Spooner Military Vehicla Preservation Association. He was an avid aviator as well.
He was the most honest, gracious, trusting and helpful MV collector I have ever met. He was a great friend, a great husband and a great father to his wife and family. He was actively involved in many military veteran associations. He firmly believed that the MV history was to be shared with everyone and always insisted everyone have an opportunity to see, feel and ride in these awesome vehicles. He was always the first one there to help when you had a bit of trouble with your MV. He'd share his last MV part with you.
We are really going to miss this grand gentleman.
I extend my warmest heartfelt condolences to his family for their great loss.
This week we lost an Icon in our hobby.
