Morning all.
I'm sitting here thinking about the sacrifices made not just on the Normandy Beaches this AM in 1944, but also those made to capture and liberate Rome, Italy on the same day and year.

Picture taken 6-6-1944 from the waist gunner's opening on a Martin B-26 Marauder nicknamed "Special Delivery". Part of the 394th BG effort to neutralize gun emplacements along the Normandy coast at Benerville.
