NOS CJV-35/U carberator?

Post by Ryan_Miller »

I found this listed on ebay.

It looks very similar to the M38 carberator, so I was woundering what the differences are, if any (ie: is it another ebay claim?)?

Not to offend anyone if that is their part they are selling!

Ken,

That is what I thought!

So it is yet another ebay ploy to garner more money! :x

Not really, the last one I had I sold for his buy it now price. If you have to have a NOS carb in the box that you need to rebuild anyway then its a good deal. They sure are pretty when you take 'em out of the box :D

Yes Ryan the ad is a bit overboard. It would be more accurate if worded like this:

Very Rare Carter YS637S NOS carb. Fit's CJV35 and M38.

The seller is just trying to add a little more pazaz to his ad by linking it to a jeep that only had a 1000 unit production run. Folks who know better know it also went on the 60,000+ M38's and many thousands more spare MC engines.
