Memorial day 2013

Post by RICKG »

A moving ceremony at our small town cemetery. VFW and American
legion in attendance. The older vets loved having the M-38 there.

Very fitting to have the M-38 there. It too is a veteran.

Very cool.
We went to our local service also. We weren't a backdrop or anything for it but it felt fitting to have it parked there.

I was in the Memorial Day parade in Sanford Florida today. Had eleven MVs participating but no Willy's Jeeps, just one M151. Thread and pictures on Steel Soldiers http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread ... -5-27-10AM

Very nice, guys.
I play in a historical military band at our local cemetery memorial ceremony. There has been an MB there in past years, but not this time. I missed it, as I'm sure a lot of the vets did.

Joe,

Keep in mind that Willys/Kaiser built M151's in the early years under license to Ford and those units have Kaiser on the data plates..

Good Job everyone. I ran all 5 of my vehicles in the local parade here in Hart Michigan. We had a great turn out of 7 historic military vehicles carrying and honoring our veterans on this day of thanks and remembrance for all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

Pre parade prep.
