Great job, well done!
''I'd drive that'', as I always say to a nice car I like.

What did you use for floor mats?

John, I noted the early front lift shackles and the early dual
harness light switch-(evidenced by the double holed plate
on your firewall pic) and the 238 prefix on the hood #.
Am curious about the DOD.

Whats the data plate under the brake and what kind of wipers are those? Looks like the one has the suction right in the middle of the plate cover.

Thanks for the nice comments fellows! Rick, I'll have to read the data plate and report back on the DOD. Bretto, the floor mats are made out of exercise machine matting you can buy at Wally World for 19.95. It comes in a roll 36 inches wide and 72 inches long. The width between the wheel wells is 35 7/8. Fits nice. I made a paper template on how I wanted the front mats to fit. I fit it all the way up around the petals and column and dimmer switch so it won't move or blow around. The passenger side is notched for the battery box drain and it too won't blow around. It cuts well with a pair of sharp seamstress sissors. It drives as good as it looks. Probably the smoothest of all my Jeeps.

One of the wipers is a modified M 151 motor that is brand new. I just shortened and threaded the shaft to accept the M38 arm. The plate below the park brake handle covers the garmin winch hole and is a Dec 1960 Japan Depot re-build tag that was under all the paint.

I usually take vacation when it's 20-30 below zero. Wear your shorts! A nice slatgrill would be a good influence too! Actually, come out for the SDFFC run in June. John
