This M170 Willys Frontline Ambulance Jeep.
The M170 (MDA) is basically a stretched M38A1. Only 4155 were produced between the mid-1950s and the early 1960s. They were used as ambulances. The production information available for these vehicles suggests a much more limited production run
Engine compartment Jeep 4-cylinder, 134 CID (2.2 L) in a M170 Willys Ambulance Jeep as was used by the US Army. Capable of hauling 3 patients on litters. Produced from 1953 to 1963, the M170 was a 1/4-ton, 4x4 variant of the M-38A1 Jeep. The body is 20-inches (508 mm) longer, has a stronger suspension, and the spare tire and jerry can are next to the passenger seat.
This is a genuine piece of history that is ready to have the restoration completed. Runs great, as a matter of fact it has been a savior on the farm at times, pulling things out that I have gotten stuck.
Not picture is the green canvas top that fits over the railings.
Please see the YouTube video of use driving on the property.
