Hi
I have an M606A1 (CJ5M)with a 10 Gallon capacity, I need to fit a bigger tank like the M38A1, if I do will this fit without having to alter the filling spout and bodywork, I have the correct seats so the tank will fit underneath any ideas please. _________________ Mark

Mark,
It may work, but the only way to know for sure is to try to fit it.
Someone else here may have experience with this one.
Hope this helps. _________________ Ryan Miller

No Wes I just found out that to fit a bigger tank you need the well so i dont know whether it is worth doing as I have a solid floor etc _________________ Mark

I assume that is available over there, it costs a bomb to ship things here which is a shame as you have almost everything I need _________________ Mark

If you remove the under seat tool box and install a modified CJ5 tank (relocated filler pipe or under the seat filler like the MB) there it will work. You can plumb them together, paralel or through a tank selector valve. Do you have repop 201 tanks available on your side of the pond? You could have a welder cut the bottom well section out. Or perhaps you could get a M38A1 driver's floor with the well and install it on the driver's side. _________________ Wes K
