Except early M38 had an aluminum cylinder LO# FE3441, WO# 648069, ORD# 7697478.

Late M38 had cast iron cylinder LO# FN14054, WO# 805238, ORD# 7416478

M38A1 came with the Cast Iron cylinder FN14054 but the Army's logistics system allowed both of the M38 cylinders to be used in the field as replacements.

Also it appears only one service kit was available that covered both master cylinders: Kit, repair: WO# 802487, ORD# 7372669, FSN 2530-737-2669

The original poster hasn't posted to this forum since April of 2020...I don't know if he's logged in since then...would take an Admin to see that info.
